Websites

Connect a business website to your workspace, then manage its brand, content, SEO, forms and code from one place, with nothing to redeploy for a text change.

Websites

Websites at app.devghouse.com/websites is where you connect a business website to your workspace and run everything around it: the words on the page, the logo and photos, search engine settings, the leads that come in through your contact form, and the code behind the site if you have one.

You do not have to build a site here to get value from it. Many people connect a site that already exists and use Websites purely for SEO, forms and content, while the site itself stays exactly where it is.

Who this is for

A small business owner, freelancer or agency who has a website (or wants one) and needs a single place to keep its content current, understand how it is doing in search, and never miss a lead. You do not need to know how to code. If you do, the Code section keeps you connected to the actual repository.

How it connects to your workspace

Every website you connect becomes a project in your workspace, right alongside your other projects, repositories and boards. Open Websites from the sidebar to see every site you have connected, or open the project itself to see its code, its forms and its planning board in one place.

A website you connect is scoped to whichever workspace you were in when you added it: your personal account, or a shared team workspace if you added it there. Switch context from the workspace switcher in the top bar before adding a site if you want it to belong to your team instead of just you.

Plan and manage with an assistant

If you have connected Claude, Codex or another assistant to your workspace through the MCP Server, it can do most of what this guide covers on your behalf: read and update your brand and homepage copy (custom_website_brand_get, custom_website_brand_set, custom_website_storefront_set), keep your page titles and descriptions current (custom_website_page_meta_set), check on new leads (custom_website_list_submissions, custom_website_mark_submission_read), track SEO keywords and competitors (custom_website_seo_store_keywords, custom_website_seo_curate_competitors), and even bring in an existing website as reference material for a full rebuild (custom_website_onboard).

A good way to try this: ask your assistant to "read this website's current homepage title and brand, propose clearer wording while keeping the colors, and save only the change I approve." It will show you the current state before writing anything, and every write is scoped to the one site you point it at, never your other sites.

Ask your assistant what it can currently do for your website; the tools available depend on which capabilities you turned on for that site (see Getting started).
