Cartoons

Turn a photo or a one-line idea into a multi-scene animated short with its own narration, then keep the same cast and style for episode after episode.

Cartoons

Cartoons, at cartoons.devghouse.com, turns a photo or a one-line idea into a short animated video. The studio writes the story, plans the scenes, generates each one, and stitches the finished cut together with its own narration. Lock a cast and a style once, in a series, and every later episode reuses the same faces automatically.

Signed in on cartoons.devghouse.com: My cartoons, the credit balance in the header, and a finished cartoon in the list

Cartoons is currently in beta, which means it works end to end but is still being tightened up.

Who this is for

  • Anyone who wants to animate someone they know from a single photo, without any drawing or editing skill.
  • Anyone with a one-line idea who wants to see it as a short animated story.
  • A creator building a recurring cast, such as a mascot, a character, or a small ensemble, who wants the same faces and look to carry across many short episodes.

What you can do

FeatureWhat it does
Getting startedCreate your account, sign in, and walk the three-step setup for your first cartoon.
Making a cartoonStart from a photo or an idea, pick a style, a length, and a quality, and check the exact cost before you generate.
Your cartoonsWatch a cartoon render scene by scene, and see the finished story, narration, and video once it's done.
Character librarySaved characters you can reuse in a single cartoon, or lock into a series so the same face carries across episodes.
Series and episodesLock a cast and a style once, then generate episode after episode without rebuilding the setup.
Credits and billingWhat's free, what costs credits, how to buy more, and what happens if a generation fails.
Common problemsWhat to check when something doesn't behave the way you expect.

How it fits your workspace

Cartoons lives at its own address, with its own sign-in page, separate from the main DevGhouse workspace. But it is not a separate account or a separate pool of credits: the same account and the same credit balance work across every DevGhouse product. If you're part of a shared workspace (DevGhouse calls this a realm), the Dashboard link in the studio header takes you to it, and switching into that workspace there makes Cartoons create and spend as that workspace instead of your personal account.

Run it with an AI assistant

If you connect Claude, Codex, or another assistant that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol) to your DevGhouse account, it can plan cartoons and series for you using the same actions this guide describes:

What you'd ask forThe tool behind it
"What would a 30-second HD cartoon cost?"cartoon_cost_preview
"Make a cartoon from this photo: a dramatic superhero origin"cartoon_create
"How is my cartoon coming along?"cartoon_get
"List my cartoons"cartoon_list
"Start a series called DevGhouse Shorts with these two characters"series_create
"Generate the next episode where the cast gets lost in a snowstorm"series_add_episode
"Show me this series and every episode so far"series_get

An assistant only sees and spends from the account or workspace you've connected it to, and every generation it runs follows the same credit rules as the studio: nothing is charged unless the work succeeds.
